"We seem to be going through a period of nostalgia, and everyone seems to think yesterday was better than today. I don't think it was, and I would advise you not to wait ten years before admitting today was great. If you're hung up on nostalgia, pretend today is yesterday and just go out and have one hell of a time." Art Buchwald

It's good to hear how well you are doing Kelly. Hope it's a great year for you! Hope you get into UTMB!

The gluten free experiment sounds good. I've never quite managed to cut out all gluten because of occasional indulgences. I didn't think I needed to, but maybe it would help. Let us know how it goes. I assume you are taking some omega 3 supplements too.

Hi Cythnia, Thanks for the note. I will let you know how the gluten free diet works for me. I am having a difficult time finding foods that are "comfort foods". Foods that I can eat that make me feel satisfied. I miss crackers, bread, dried cereals, etc. Any suggestions? I am not taking any supplements right now. What do you suggest? Thanks so much. I hope to see you out on the trails in 2010.

I have been doing a mostly gluten-free diet, but not really from health stuff. Another running friend of mine is gluten-intolerant and I started experimenting with it just to see what happens. I feel a lot better when I go several days without any gluten-containing foods. For feeling satisfied, maybe try potatoes?

I like this quote, though.
