Grandmothers of Endurance

Check this video out. If this doesn't inspire you, check your pulse, you might be DEAD!

I was suppose to run TRT 50 miler today, but I am sick with some sort of respiratory gunk. I feel like dog doo and my energy level is LOW. Soooo, I am kickin it at home and will probably go for a hike instead. It has been a busy week for everyone around here. My Mom had emergency surgery on Tuesday, (she's fine, now), and life has just been crazy. One great thing that happened is that I found a new cool place to run. Yippee!! I hope everyone has a great weekend and get's out for some fresh air. I hope these two women motivate you to move. I know they certainly did me.

Nice treat to watch on a Sunday AM. Thanks Kelly. Fun to watch for me because I grew up hour and 45 minutes South of where these ladies are from. I have hiked and run on the trails shown. I like the comments of being running buds, of course along with what they are still doing at their ages.

Thanks for the great video. Made me quit my whining, take a couple rest days, and think about being able to keep doing this for the long run.

Hope you're doing well!

I found this video a few weeks after you posted it. It's not only a great reminder that we can (and will) do this for many, many years... but it will also help me put to rest the comments I get from friends who think I'm damaging my body running all the miles that I run.

As you can clearly tell watching these two young ladies, ultrarunning only enriches the mind, body & spirit. It does nothing to damage it.
