It was true for me. I was 22 pounds heavier before I kicked off the bar and party lifestyle and got into running and eating healthier. Funny thing is that I eat a whole lot more being a runner.
Hi - I found your blog when I googled running with lupus. I am an active runner - 8 marathons in the last 2 yrs. and a dozen halfs. I was even starting to look at 50 milers, as I love the sense of accomplishment that endurance events bring. After months of feeling off, slow, tired, and forgetful, my doctors have determined that I have lupus. Everything I read says that running is too strenuous - please tell me how you do it. Running and high amounts of energy are my identity - I don't want to lose the lifestyle and friendships and challenges that go along with long distance running, but I also want to be smart about my health and the risks I may encounter. Any advice or experiences would be so helpful. I can be reached at: teamclinton@yahoo.com. Thank you, jackie
